Managing plants
Solutions for the green-thumb challenged among us
I am the last person you want in your garden club, but I do love the green stuff. Plants add color to a space and when nothing else fits, a plant can fill that odd hole or corner.
What's a plant lover lacking green thumbs to do?
If you're like me and have no time for watering plants, might I suggest succulents such as jade, burro's tail, echeveria elegans and dracaena trifasciata? (Thank you, Google.) They are your best friend because they live on little water.
But wait! There's more.
Why not go fake?
Seriously. Just as strides have been made in the areas of joint replacement surgery and the once foul taste of protein shakes, so too have the scientists been at work in the realm of artificial plants. When I was a kid you'd have to be stoned out of your mind to believe a fake rose was the real deal.
How fortunate we are to live in a time when fake flowers and fake plants can almost pass for the real deal. Personally, I like to mix my fakes in with my reals. Think of it as hair extensions for plants.
So, without further ado, from left to right...drumroll, please...
Fake, real and real.
You're welcome.
