    Plants Alive!

Watering your green ones is as easy as 1-2-3

My Mom had the green thumb. Me? I'm pretty much all thumbs when it comes to houseplants.
Yes, houseplants are credited with assisting with breathing, boosting mood and concentration, calming us down, and they're nice to look at, but when there are only 24 hours in a day and your caregiving day is surpassing 42 hours, who has time to take care of one more thing no matter how good it is for you?
With houseplant care I've found it's all about locationlocationlocation.
I keep mine on the kitchen counter. It sits on a lazy Susan for easy spinning to capture the best light, whether it's sunlight or the kitchen light it sits under.
To ensure that it gets plenty of water, I keep a measuring cup handy. Every morning I use the measuring cup to fill my coffeemaker. I always add more water than I need. Rather than dump the extra water down the drain, it goes in the plant.
    So simple.
